THE STARS SET UP A SHOW OF RELATIVES Where can you come across to Alexei Urmanov with his sons, Elena Berezhnaya with her mother, Irina Slutskaya with her husband and Evgeni Plushenko with his girlfriend? Of course in St. Petersburg, on the "Stars on Ice" show. Stars of figure skating, although they were looking a bit tired, (just about a few days ago they had returned from a two-week long tour across Russian cities) they were in the happiest spirit circumstances. Especially the giggler Irina Slutskaya was on fire. She was taking photos with her friends, was making jokes to her close ones... The world champion, who missed a season due to an illness, was searching for opportunities to perform. During her necessary holiday Irina slightly lost weight, but her glory and liveliness hadn’t distinguished at all. Performing to the song „Ruki-Veni“ of Anastasia Stotskoya, the skater exhibited her famous Biellman. Other figure skaters skated to live music too. Elena Berezhnaya and Anton Siharulidze- to Tatiana Bulanova’s „Kindness“. Alexei Urmanov almost made the public cry by skating to Smash’s „Belle“. Alexei Mishin’s junior student Arthur Hill performed together with Edward Hill, with whom he shares surnames. By the way, Arthur left the Ice Palace with a brand new bicycle, which was a gift to him from the organizers of the show. The star of the show should have been Evgeni Plushenko with his performance. However, because of a serious otitis the sportsman wasn’t able to get on the ice in the Ice Palace. But the audience still got the chance to see their favorite. The skater got on the stage along an enormous applause to celebrate everybody’s city day. He also apologized for not being able to skate in front of them. Zhenya’s fans weren’t left in debt. The „get well“ wishes for their favorite skater were all around, shaking the palace. Evgeni Plushenko’s girlfriend Uljana told the „Komsomolka“ correspondent that Zhenya is better now. „The doctors say that he has to lie down for another week or so, but he rushes here and there. He says that this is a better way of recovery. He goes to the hospital several times a day, where he has his cures.“ In November Plushenko is intended to organize his own shows.
