Champions on Ice

Report by Victoria: August 10 , Charleston, SC and August11, Greenville, SC : All the cast seemed to be in high spirits during these last two stops of the Olympic Tour especially Evgeni. He was the last skater to come out during the opening number. Skating to the song "The Worlds Greatest". Definitely an appropriate song for him to perform too. Evgeni skated 2nd to last in the lineup. Carmen is such a crowd pleasing program and afforded the audience a chance to see a program at an elite level of skating in technical and artistic ability. His speed and coverage of the ice is unmatched. The combination jumps were flawlessly executed, sit spins fast and low to the ice and the footwork sequences amazingly quick. He received lots of encouraging screams during Carmen and enthusiatic loud applause from the audience at both shows. After the finale in Greenville (the last show) Evgeni while still on the ice went to several of his castmates and gave hugs. Congratulations to Evgeni for not missing a single show and not disappointing the many fans that came to see him perform his own special brand of magic on ice. From the reports he also has made many new fans too. Evgeni was also very gracious and came out, both shows, to the bus area to sign autographs for the crowd.
