Exhibition in Spain

Report by Petra: At Evgeni's summer training camp in Spain/Jaca, he participated at an exhibition at August 17. I am reporting from the video of that exhinition I got. He showed his new short program. He had the same costume like at "Art on Ice" with "I will survive" in Janurary 2002, it suits perfectly to the program but maybe we see at competition and other one. He was skating to Adagio by Albinoni. He skated wonderfully to this slow classical music, since we are just used to his great speed in skating he adapts his skating to the slow music very well. Even that he just worked on this program for a short time, it was great already. It is very different seeing Evgeni skating to such slow music and different of evrything we saw before of him. His artistry comes through very well. First he did a 3 Toeloop then 3 Axel, circular footwork, sit spin change foot, straight line footwork where he stops in the middle and does that step like at the MJ footwork, then two combination spins without the Biellman spin. I guess he adds the Biellmann spin at competition as usual. The program is all over slower also dramatic and romantic, it's just wonderful!
